Well, we missed the quilt show in Bryan because of all the wonderful rain. I was afraid to drive that direction because of flash flooding indicated. Geneva Eubanks had graciously kept me informed about the show and I regret that we did not make it and get to visit with them. Maybe next year.
We did however get to make it to the San Antonio Quilt Show called “Kaleidoscope of Quilts” held at the Live Oak Civic Center on Pat Booker Road. What a wonderful array of quilts and most of them went with the Kaleidoscope theme, very colorful. There were also the traditional quilts that always catch my eye.
Darlene, Marjorie, and I enjoyed the beautiful quilts and they had over 260 quilts in the show and there were over 50 vendors. Some of the vendors we knew and some were new to us. It is always nice to find out where a new little shop is located. Lots of the vendors were from out of state and we were glad to see some new ideas.
We left the quilt show and found some lunch and also found a new Hancock Fabrics. They had a great selection of fleece. So many prints are available now that you can go with almost any theme.
It was fun to be on the road again with my sisters. We are planning our next trip now and it is a surprise for one of them. See you next week.
Happy Quilting, Janie
