Hi folks!

Our Third Friday Luncheon was awesome. The food was great and the company and laughter along with it was even better. We also had a short presentation on how to handle a fire extinguisher by BJ Sultemeier. Elizabeth Sooter got this together for us and we all appreciated the presentation. BJ gave us a simple rule to follow using the extinguisher. He says to remember the acronym PASS, which stands for Pull, Aim, Squeeze, and Sweep. Thanks BJ and thanks goes to Elizabeth for getting all of this together for us.

It is Monday and autumn is this week with possibilities of rain and a cold front. Now this is something to be thankful for. And you will not believe it, but it is Tuesday and it is raining and it is cooler and it is the first day of autumn. Wow…Awesome!

Next Monday, September 28, 2009 @ 1:00 PM, we are having BINGO by sponsored by our Tenant Association and by Girling. Karen Barksdale with Girling will be here to help us call. Fun for everybody.

As for me and my family, my husband has to go back to the doctor in Austin this week. We are hoping for good news and I will be checking in with my doctor. My daughter, Mary Baker, had a birthday on September 21st, 2009. I wish her a Happy Birthday.

We have a lot of tenants having birthdays this week. Happy Birthday to each of you.

Food for thought: “There are many paths to enlightenment. Be sure to take one with a heart.” — Lao Tzu: was a Chinese philosopher

Some people believe that success and achievement are a shortcut to enlightenment. They trip over lies, stumble over greed, and dodge doing the right thing to arrive as quickly as possible. Yet, when they get there, they find it’s nothing but barren land, with only regret to keep them company. There’s a far greater path... one that presents honor, character, and strength in spirit at every turn. It takes a bit longer to get there, but once you do, you’re whole.

Tenants please call me @ 868-2766 to share info that you do not mind sharing. You may also stop by the office and leave it with Patsy. Have a great week.
