My, what a wonderful weekend we had. The rain has spruced things up and everything looks brand new. Isn’t that just the most wonderful sight in the world when you look outside and everything looks cleaner, fresher, and things just smell better? I say thank you God for the wonderful gift of rain. We still need a little more rain to fill the lakes, creeks, rivers, and livestock tanks. I will just keep rain in prayers.

Capitol Area Food Bank (CAFB) was here on the 15th along with Catholic Charities. Having all these services around is very nice for us.

Our Housing Authority had their board meeting on the 15th.

Our sympathy goes to one of my faithful readers, Dorothy Kemp of Corpus Christi, Texas. She lost a daughter last week. Please know that our love along with God’s love surrounds you.

One of our tenants, Elnora Kneese has returned back home after being a way for awhile. May nothing but warm thoughts from your caring friends help to keep you well. You most definitely were missed.

Tenants, remember that this Friday is our Third Friday Potluck Luncheon. Bring a dish and share in the good food and laughter.

Have you looked at the calendar lately? Autumn is almost here, like next Tuesday. Autumn is one of the four temperate seasons. Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter. We should start to see darkness a little earlier everyday.

Food for thought: Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don’t wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it’s at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.” Earl Nightingale”

Tenants please call me @ 868-2766 to share info that you do not mind sharing. You may also stop by the office and leave it with Patsy. Have a great week.
