We are still venturing on our own. We are looking for the sister shop of The Quilt Gallery. We traveled to Waterford, Maine to a little shop called Kedar Quilts. The lady who owns these shops is from England. Her home is above the quilt shop. The shop is very compact but she had lots of great fabric and books. Ask Sherry - we were there for some time.

People here are very friendly and let me tell you, I did not see another Texas license plate until we got within miles of the Texas border coming home. Talk about feeling outnumbered. Anyway, back to Kedar Quilts.

This little shop was located right next to a beautiful little stream or brook. It was beautiful.

Sherry mentioned we were trying to see a moose and the lady told us that every morning her parking lot was moose friendly. We debated whether to spend the night there in the car to see a moose but decided we would probably oversleep and miss them so we started on back to our little cabin in the woods. Our hosts, Joe and Denise, had sighted a black bear a couple of days before we arrived, so maybe we’d have better luck there. We didn’t...but we had a great day anyway.
