On our third day in Maine, Sherry and I took off on our own to see what we could find. That could have been dangerous and may have been because we found two quilt shops owned by the same lady.

The first one, Kedar Quilts Gallery, was located in Naples, Maine and was a very interesting shop. They displayed handmade quilts and they were for sale, along with other items of interest. They had tea cozies, pincushions, and items that had been handmade for sale. We had a good time there looking at quilts and wall hangings and getting some great ideas.

It was in Naples that we found a great antique and handcrafted store. We came out with lots of goodies. Sherry purchased a bracelet made from vintage buttons...wish I had gotten one. They had wool purses and lots of really cute items for sale. We had a great time in Naples.

Meanwhile, on the way to the other store, we were on the lookout for a moose. We see signs everywhere—Moose Crossing next 5 miles and etc. but we failed to find a moose. More next week.

Happy Quilting, Janie
