What a great night it was at the July 4th Spange Dangle celebration at the Blanco County Fairgrounds! The LBJ High School Band Boosters hosted a booth offering freshly squeezed lemonade and iced tea which were a big hit with the crowd. We also held a a raffle for a fabulous propane grill generously donated by Walmart-Fredericksburg, together with grilling tools and a case of Salt Lick BBQ sauce donated by the infamous Salt Lick in Driftwood. The winning ticket was drawn just before the fireworks kicked off and the lucky winner was Perry Klippstein and his family. Perry and his wife, Hazel, recently moved to Round Mountain from Coleman with their 2 foster children.

It was a very special surprise for them and a well timed addition to their new home. Many thanks to all of you who supported the LBJ Fighting Eagle Band by your donations and purchases at the booth on Saturday.

Mark your calendars for August 7th! We will be hosting a fantastic day of music and delicious food on the last day of Band Camp week scheduled for August 3 - 7 in Fredericksburg. Highlights will include performances by John Arthur Martinez and the Hill Country Jazz Band, as well as our beloved LBJ Fighting Eagle Band. Tickets will be available for purchase which will include a chicken bbq meal with all the fixings.

Stay tuned for more info about LBJ Band Camp-a-palooza!!
