I have been reading a lot lately and I would like to share some quilting quips I found.
The first one I really like is a spin off from a country song about fishing. It says something to the effect that if he goes fishing again, his wife will leave. He replies that he will miss her. The quilting version is like this: My husband said if I were to buy any more fabric, he would leave me. I am going to miss him.
Another is: Quilting is my passion, Chocolate is a close second.
This is probably one that relates to most quilters but not all: I am creative; you can’t expect me to be neat too. I am not saying all quilters are not neat but most of us are kind of like Eleanor Burns as we quilt. If you have ever watched her on TV, she cuts and throws over her shoulder. Of course she is on set and more than likely she has someone to pick up for her after she makes her mess. If we sew like this, guess who will be picking up…………
If you have a special saying that you are fond of, feel free to send it to me. I will leave you with this one: WILL WORK FOR FABRIC. Happy Quilting, Janie
