NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CONTEMPLATED ANNEXATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS, THAT:
The City of Johnson City, Texas proposes to institute annexation proceedings to enlarge and extend the boundary limits of said City to include the following described territory, to wit: 10.57 acres at 604 S. Avenue F
A description of a 10.57 acre tract of land out of the Joseph Duel Survey No. 171, Abstract No. 147, situated in Blanco County, Texas; being part of that certain 62.90 acre (deed/called acreage) tract of land described in a conveyance from Billy Norman Bushnell to Russell W. Schneider and Dorothy J. Schneider found of record in a warranty deed with vendor’s lien dated March 23, 1999, recorded in Volume 205, Page 787 et Seq. of the Official Pubic Records of said County and being part of that certain 21.14 acre (deed/called acreage) tract of land described in a conveyance from Cleo Glossin, et al to Steven Kelly Daniel and wife, Kelli Katherine Daniel found of record in a warranty deed with vendor’s lien dated June 13, 2008, recorded in Volume 344, Page 862 et seq. of the said official public Records, said 10.87 acre tract being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 2.375 inch diameter iron pipe fence post found on the east line of the said 62.99 acre tract at the northeast corner of the said 21.34 acre tract, being on the occupational west line of the Miller Creek Loop (County) Road, for the northeast corner hereof;
THENCE departing from said east line and passing over and across the said the said 62.99 acre tract with the north line of the said 21.14 acre tract, N 69o 21’ 31” W. a distance of 856.03 feet along a fence line to a 2.375 inch diameter iron pipe fence post found on the west line of the said 62.90 acre tract at the northwest corner of the said 21.14 acre tract, being the east line of that certain 220 acre (deed/called acreage) tract of land described in Volume 47, Page 407 et seq. of the Deed Records of said County, for the northerly northwest corner hereof;
THENCE with said west line, the following two (2) courses:
1. S 00o 21’ 24” W, a distance of 408.94 feet along a fence line to a 2.875 inch diameter iron pipe fence post found a reentrant corner of said 62.00 acre tract, and
2. S 89o 44’05” W, a distance of 107.78 feet to a 3/8 inch iron rod set for the northerly northeast corner of a 10.57 acre Tract “B” this day surveyed and westerly northeast corner hereof;
THENCE departing from said west line and passing over and across the said 62.99 acre tract and the said 21.14 acre tract with the following two (2) courses;
1. S 00o 15’ 54” E, a distance of 271.01 feet to a 3/8 inch iron rod set, and
2. S 82o 28’05” E, a distance of 738.18 feet to a 3/8 inch iron rod set on the said east line of the 62.99 acre tract, being on the east line of the said 21.14 acre tract and on the said occupational west line of the Miller creek Loop (County) Road, for the easterly northeast corner of said Tract “B” and the northeast corner hereof;
THENCE with the said east line of the 62.99 acre tract; the following two (2) courses:
1. N 17o 18’ 56” E, a distance of 193.17 feet to a 2.375 inch diameter iron pipe fence post found, and
2. N 22o 01’35” E, a distance of 314.13 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, containing 10.57 acres of land, more or less.
And the S. Avenue F roadway from the South corners of the Post Oak Drive intersection to the Northwest property line of the Tom Benson Ranch.
Public Hearings will be held by and before the City Council of the City of Johnson City, Texas at 6:00 p.m. on the 7th day of July and 6:00 p.m. on the 14rd day of July, 2009, by the City Council of the City of Johnson City, Texas in the City Council Chambers of the City of Johnson City, Texas. At this time and place all persons interested in above proposed annexation shall have the right to appear and be heard. Of all said matters and things, all persons interested in the things and matters herein mentioned will take notice.
