Shop with a friend………

When you are planning a trip to the quilt shop take a few friends with you and save on the gas. With the economy the way it is and gas prices still climbing, it only makes sense to combine your trips and take your friends.

It is always more fun to shop for fabric with friends because they can always offer their opinion when you need it and the owner can’t find the time to help you make that decision on if that color goes good with what you need.

Some places will let you buy in bulk and if you take a friend, she might want some of the same fabric and you will be able to get a better price. I know most of these places are in other states but it doesn’t hurt to look for a bargain.

You will have someone there to help you when you want to impulse buy. Your friends will tell you if you really need that piece of fabric or not but honestly, how can you not buy a beautiful piece of fabric.

Try to set your budget and don’t be pressured into buying something you don’t really need. Most of us have more fabric than we will ever use but haven’t you heard…..”The person who dies with the most fabric WINS……………..I think I am pretty close to being in first place.
