On June 6, 2009 at the Llano Lester Meier Open Rodeo, Sierra Hodge of Johnson City set an arena record for the Llano arena in the Ladies Breakaway Roping. Sierra roped her calf in 2.5 seconds to secure the win. She beat the record by 0.3 of a second. She was awarded with a hand-made trophy belt buckle, a gift certificate to Cavendars, and winning prize money. Llano was a part of the Lester Meier Rodeo Open-Pro Rodeo Series. Some upcoming events are the Stonewall Peach Jamboree, and the Blanco County Fair and Rodeo. Come out and support the cowboys and cowgirls.
