LBJ High School put on their annual summer basketball camp last week at the LBJ High School gym. The camp tied last years record attendance mark with 66 campers attending the 2 sessions. Students who were in grades kindergarten through 4th grade attended the morning session while students who were in grades 5 thru 8 attended the afternoon session. The sessions were pretty evenly divided with 32 campers in the morning and 34 in the afternoon.
The camp was a terrific success with all campers putting forth a terrific effort and displaying a wonderful attitude and desire to improve their basketball skills. The camp focused on teaching the fundamental skills of shooting, passing, dribbling and defense. The campers also participated in competitions focusing on these skills. All campers should be proud of their achievements during the week.
