Lula Bell McFerrin, 84, passed away June 13, 2009 in Cypress Mill, TX. She was born in Coleman, FL to W.A. Barnhill and Bessie Nauman Barnhill. Lula Bell spent most of her life in Florida before moving to Phoenix City, AL in 2001 and in 2003 she moved to Cypress Mill, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, her three husbands, son, Joe McCranie, and daughter Margaret June Featherston. Lula Bell is survived by six children, David R. Wheat, Bessie E. Goebel, Mack J. McCranie, Jerry W. McCranie, Lewis “Link” McCranie, and Mae Bell Moore; sisters, Betty L. Armstrong, Lottie B. Dillard, and Jonnie M. Fleming. She is also survived by 57 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
