On Thursday, June 11 Mycala Jordan and Nancy Jordan, along with County Extension Agent, Gretchen Sanders attended the Texas 4-H Roundup in College Station.

The Mother-Daughter 4-H Team created a 4-H Quilt for the Texas 4-H Quilt Challenge. The competition was sponsored by the Texas 4-H Clothing and Textiles Advisory Board.

Cabin Quilters donated one yard of fabric to be utilized in the quilt made by participants. Each quilt team were allowed to add up to five more fabrics and the quilt had to include a 4-H design.

Mycala and Nancy’s quilt was entitled, “Red, White and Blue-Tiful” and featured blocks with H’s in each corner.

The quilt will be raffled off to benefit the 2010 Relay for Life. Tickets will be available in the Exhibit Hall during the Blanco County Fair.
