Kendall Smith, a 2006 graduate of LBJ High School, has just been inducted into the Alpha Chi National Scholarship this spring at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. He has maintained a 4.00 GPA throughout his college years. Kendall attended Angelo State University in San Angelo for two years where he was involved in the Block & Bridle Club, the Biology Club, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and Baptist Student Ministries as well as being a varsity athlete on both the Cross Country Team and the Track Team.
While at Sul Ross State University, he has been active, so far, in the Conservation Biology Club, the Range & Wildlife Club, the Recycling Club, and the Plant ID Team while also being on both the Cross Country and the Tennis Team. He has had the opportunity to visit many big ranches and parks doing various range & wildlife projects.
Kendall’s leadership and academic skills were developed and nurtured while attending LBJ Middle School & LBJ High School where he graduated fourth in his 2006 class and had perfect attendance all four years in high school. He also participated and excelled in many sports. He had wonderful, caring teachers and great coaches in Johnson City.
He is a proud graduate of LBJ. Go Eagles!
Kendall is the son of Carole Smith of Johnson City & Kenneth Smith of Creedmore.
