The Sam Houston State University Club Baseball team has persevered through adversity and tremendous obstacles this year and has one more challenge to overcome that you can help us with. SHSU Club Baseball has qualified for the National Club Baseball Association World Series in Fort Meyers, Florida. We have tremendous support from the school, but are falling short in our fundraising effort. That is why we are appealing to you for your help.

The SHSU Club Baseball team has continuously been one of the most respected programs in the country, with national rankings in the Top 10, reaching as high as a ranking of number 2. Currently, the team, having won the Gulf Coast South Conference Championship and the Gulf Coast Regional Championship over tough competitors such as the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, and Texas Tech University, is ranked number seven in the nation. The team finished with a 16-6 overall record that included an impressive 9-2 conference mark in what is widely regarded as one of the premier regions in the country. The team hopes to use both the chemistry and talent of the players on the roster, along with the lessons learned by overcoming adversity to succeed in Florida, hopefully taking home the desired goal of a National championship if enough money is raised to fund the trip.

SHSU Club Baseball is not simply a sports team attempting to achieve selfish success that breeds overwhelming accolades, but rather a group of individuals trying to proudly represent the university that has given them so much. If the team plays well and reaches the desired milestone, this will bring a national face to our university that could give it the proper academic and athletic respect it so richly deserves. Please help us raise the necessary money to make the trip so that we can make our dreams a reality.

Any amount is appreciated and your generosity will be remembered by every individual on the team and could help others outside of the roster by encouraging new students to pursue their dream of playing college baseball, instead of partaking in other college activities. With your help, the accomplishments achieved at the NCBA World Series could be the type of publicity both our program and SHSU needs in order to continue improving the sterling reputation that has been established by our predecessors.
