Membership is the grassroots strength of Farm Bureau and the Schulze County Farm Bureau grew stronger than ever in 2008 with a gain of 41 member families.

“Agriculture is an important industry in Blanco County,” Blanco County Farm Bureau S&T Adrian Schulze said. “Our goal is to continue to add members to help tell agriculture’s story.”

The membership efforts of 207 county Farm Bureaus statewide raised the Texas Farm Bureau membership total to 422,159 members, a gain of 17,242 member families. This was the single largest gain of any state Farm Bureau in the nation.

Farm Bureau’s national membership rose to 6,243,286 member families, marking 48 years of consecutive growth.
