We do need rain and we need it now. So everybody put on your rain suit and give us a dance and a prayer for some moisture.
I went to the Red Hatters meeting and as always had a wonderful time.
Our Third Friday Luncheon here in our community was awesome. We had pot luck, so everybody just brought a dish to share with one another. We had fried chicken, chili, a macaroni dish, rice, green beans with potatoes, rolls, dips, and chips. You name it, we had it. What wonderful cooks we have here. Our community room was full of hungry people and eat we did.
The first thing I saw this morning was turkeys and more turkeys. I do not know how many we have around here, but I bet it is close to fifty or more.
We all love this next week because we have some wonderful services that come here to help us all. Blanco County, come out and use these services. The Capitol Area Food Bank and the Catholic Charities are here to help us.
We also have the Meals on Wheels program @ 304 S Ave F, Johnson City, Texas. You may contact their number @ 868-4173. Please call Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between the hours of 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We have excellent delivery people who use their lunch hour to deliver meals. These are employees of PEC who volunteer their time to help us get the meals out. Thank you PEC employees.
I am going to get to go on a Museum Tour to the Dallas Museum of Art to view the King Tutankhamen Exhibit. This happens on February 17th, 2009. This is all thanks to the Johnson City Library. If you need to check this out, give them a call or stop by to see them for details and cost.
Food for thought: Always leave a light on in your heart.
