Our Nation swore in its 44th President, Barrack Obama, on Tuesday, January 20, 2009. As millions line The Mall in Washington, D.C., the rest of us watched either on TV or online.

Here at the office we watched MSNBCs online live coverage of the inaguration. This was a historic moment for our Nation and as I watched the beginnings of the inaguration I thought about my kids and hoped that they too were getting a chance to see this monumental event take place.

The Johnson City ISD gave students a chance to watch via internet, and after some technical difficulty the students at LBJ High School turned their complete attention to one of the biggest days in their young lives. Principal Julie Storer said the students were very respectful and interested in what was going on. I know that my son, a Freshman at LBJ High School, came home with direct quotes from the President’s speech, with questions, concerns and interests of his own.
