On Saturday, January 10th employees at El Charro Mexican Restaurant in Blanco arrived at work to find the front door wide open, broken glass on the floor and the business in total disarray.
Thieves broke in through a window and stole $150 cash from the registers, two plasma screen televisions and a mess behind.
It was initially thought that some endorsed checks were also stolen out of the cash registers; however a spokesman for the restaurant stated that the checks were found.
A police report was filed with the Blanco County Sheriff’s Department; however investigators have no leads or suspects into the burglary.
El Charro is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those involved.
“I love [El] Charro… the fact that someone would come in and do something like this to one of our local restaurants is just wrong. I hope they catch whoever did it soon,” stated local resident and regular El Charro patron, Jeff Foster.
If you have any information regarding the case, you are encouraged to contact the Blanco County Sherriff’s Department 830-868-7104.
