Jr. High Girls vs. Ingram
Thursday, December 13, 2012 • Posted December 13, 2012

The 7B Lady Eagles did a great job in defeating their rivals from Ingram on Monday night, 12-7. “The girls worked hard and hustled the entire game,” Coach Trujillo said. Alicia Guerrero was the top player with 8 points. The 7A Lady Eagles won a hard-fought contest over the Ingram Lady Warriors, 29-27 in their third game of the season. “Our team did an excellent job of playing defense and working to get rebounds. The girls gave it their all and pushed through until the very end. They never gave up and that is what resulted in a victory,” Coach Trujillo said. Mya McMillian had an outstanding game with 18 points and several blocked shots. Avery Stueler added 5 points and Slone Wenmohs and Amber Bray were cited for great all-around hustle and heart. The LBJMS Girls 8th A Basketball team dropped their third straight loss to the Ingram Lady Warriors 18-29. After a productive first half, both offensively and defensively, the Lady Eagles could only manage 3 points in the second half to Ingram’s 18. Our turnover margin improved quite a bit, but we were out-rebounded all game, which Ingram converted into easy points. Although we have made improvement in our game, there’s still a lot of work to do. And that starts in practice. We’ve got to push ourselves in practice situations to make our overall game better. Until that happens, we may continue to struggle. The Lady Eagles next game will be at home, December 17th, against Comfort. POINTS: Kailey Ockman-7; Jazmin Aguilar-4; Emily Matjeka-2; Karli Metcalf-2; Tessa Fields-2; Alyssa Rose-1
