National Night Out in JC

Chief Randy Holland, Johnson City Police Department and Chief Roy Burdett, Johnson City Volunteer Fire Department would like to invite citizens to the 29th Annual National Night Out. It will be held at the Johnson City Fire Department at 300 Live Oak Drive on October 2, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event will include law enforcement and fire equipment displays, food and drink. National Night Out is a national crime prevention initiative aimed at bringing communities together for the common purpose of community safety. The night is an opportunity for residents to promote public safety-community partnerships, crime prevention, and neighborhood camaraderie. In addition, National Night Out strengthens neighborhood spirit, sending a message to criminals that communities are organized and fighting back.
