Thursday, October 13, 2011 • Posted October 13, 2011

"The Hill Country Spurs 4-H Horse Club’s next meeting is on October 18, 2011. This meeting, held every third Tuesday at Exhibit Hall at the Blanco County Fairgrounds in Johnson City at 6:30 pm, is open to youths from kindergarted to high school seniors. Owning a horse is not a requirement. The meeting will include a presentation regarding the Blanco County Extension Office awards and horse related administrative work. A costume contest will be conducted, too. For more information, please contact C. Harlin at 830-228-4867.

Club membership registration is required in order to become a member to include a fee of $15 per child by October 31; the fee increases to $25 on November 1 and thereafter. Also if not currently enrolled, participants may not show at any major horse and horse-related competitions. Please complete a member application on ‘4-H Connect’, found on website: If any problems occur completing application on 4-H Connect, just give us a call at the Extension Office 830-868-7167 and we will be glad to walk you through it."
