Eagles Fall To Panthers

The LBJ Eagle varsity boys basketball team played their county and district rival the Blanco Panthers on Friday, January 25 at LBJ High School gym. The game was close and exciting throughout and wasn’t decided until the final minutes. Each team played excellent, tight defense and points were at a premium but in the end the Panthers came away with a hard fought 40-32 win. .

Jaxon Riebesehl led the Eagles in scoring with 10 points. Chase Klaerner led in rebounding with 9 boards followed by Wade North and Will Rutherford with 5 rebounds each. Klaerner also had a season high 4 blocks. North led the team in steals with 4.

This week the Eagles will travel to Lago Vista on Tuesday evening and then play their final home game of the season on Friday, Feb 1 against Ingram. Friday night will also be parents night for the Eagle basketball teams. The JV game will begin at 5:00 with the varsity game starting around 7:30. Please come out and support your LBJ boys basketball teams.
