Jenifer Ellen Koplos, 53, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013. Jenifer was born on April 2, 1959 in Dearborn, Michigan to Harold Theodore and Emily Ruth Morgan. She graduated from San Antonio’s Roosevelt High School in 1977 and then spent a few years in Dallas, Texas before moving back to the Hill Country in 1984. She met her husband, Greg Koplos, in 1986 and they made their home in Johnson City for the next 27 years.

Jenny was a devoted homemaker and took great pride in raising her four kids and taking care of her husband. She was a loving grandmother who enjoyed doting on her granddaughter while anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first grandson. She was a noted baker and was well-known for her famous chocolate chip cookies.

Jenny was a devout Christian, who spent many hours a day studying the Bible, praying and meditating. She loved to share the gospel, and rarely neglected the opportunity to witness for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, wherever she went. She lived a life wrapped in the love of Jesus. He would have us remember one thing: know Jesus, live, walk, trust and rest in Him. Her family cherishes the memories of her faithful love for all, which was rooted in Jesus’ faithful love for her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Emily Morgan. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Gregory R. Koplos of Johnson City, her children Amanda Koplos-Herdeman and husband Nick Herdeman of Austin, Texas, Abigail Fields of Asheville, NC, Bob Koplos of Asheville, NC and Amelia Koplos of Austin, Texas, and her granddaughter, Kylie Koplos-Herdeman.
