Benefiting the Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center and Open Door Recovery House

Burnet, Blanco, Llano and Lampasas: Plans are underway for the Second Annual Girls Night Out event which will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Burnet Community Center from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. This event benefits the Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center and Open Door Recovery House.

“We moved the event to a bigger location this year,” said Mandy McCary, Chair for the Girls Night Out Committee. “We are planning to bring more indulgences and entertainment to this great event.”

Girls Night Out is a pajama party only for women, 21 and over, to enjoy an evening with a group of friends and/or female family members to indulge in drinks, food, shopping, and being pampered. Tickets are $60 for an individual ticket, or $50 a piece for 5 or more, which can be purchased at the Marble Falls Chamber of Commerce on 2nd Street and the Burnet Chamber of Commerce.

This event is great for businesses to sponsor to show the local communities their support for the Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center, which helps local families victimized by domestic violence and sexual violence; and Open Door Recovery House, which helps local women with substance abuse. There are seven sponsorship levels, each ranging from $5,000 to $100. Please contact Mandy McCary at or Paula Mays at for more information.

“These are worthwhile organizations that need community support,” said McCary. “This event will help ensure that free services will continue to be provided to women and families in need in our area.”
