Helen Louise Wallace Halm

Helen Louise Wallace Halm went home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2012. She was born on November 20, 1923 in Fort Worth, Texas. She will long be remembered for her kind spirit and welcoming smile. Everything from her graceful mannerisms to the mischievous glimmer in her eye spoke of the value she gave to life.

Helen loved the hill country and everything associated to home. She valued her friends and took great delight in her family. She was a devoted and loving wife for 70 years. Over the years she and Jimmy lived in a multiple of different places including Santa Anna, CA., King City, CA, Pecos, TX, Merced, CA, Las Vegas, NV, Tampa Bay, Fl, Fort Worth, TX and Dripping Springs, TX.

Helen was a member of Henly Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and His abiding presence was an on-going source of strength in her life. For many years Helen taught Sunday School and was particularly fond of children.

A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on December 28, 2012 at Croft’s Funeral Home in Johnson City, TX.

Helen is survived by her husband Jimmy, a son Gary Halm of Arlington, TX, a grandson, Greg Halm of Grandbury, TX, a granddaughter, Lindsey Halm of Arlington, a great granddaughter, Karrisa Halm , and a great-great granddaughter, Payton. Helen was preceded in death by her son, Allen Halm.

Memorial donations can be made in Helen Halm’s name to the Friends Foundation in Dripping Springs or Henly Baptist Church.
