Wheelchair Ramp

Blanco County’s wheelchair ramp builders finished their largest one to date, just under 100 feet long, near Canyon Lake. The couple they helped were in a car wreck and both found themselves in wheelchairs, in a house 40 inches above the ground, and with a steep slope that forced a zig-zagging design to get between the trees. From the left, George Brugnoli, Carol Schlachter and Lee Romero did the finish work on the handrails at the end of the job.
