Charles Wesley “Wes” Waugh, 69, “Seadog” to the many that knew and loved him, left us to be with the Lord following a sudden illness Sept. 24, 2021. He was born Nov. 23, 1951 in Espanola, New Mexico on the Indian Reservation. Wes was a proud Vietnam Veteran and Navy man.
Steven Henderson “Hondo” passed away unexpectedly Sept. 12, 2021, at the age of 69, at his home in Round Mountain. He was born of Dec. 10, 1951, in Fairborn, Ohio to Jack Jasper Henderson and Mary Lou Burleson Henderson. He graduated from the University of Texas and served his country in the U.S.
David Dean DuFner, 76, passed away Sept. 1, 2021. He was born Nov. 11, 1945 to Hal and Ruth Dufner. After high school and marrying, he worked on Diamon X Ranch for M. C. Winters drove truck for Winter Construction Co, worked for R. B. Felps Trailer Co. and drove a truck for many people hauling grain, cattle, grass, pipe, boats, and just about everything else, and ran his own landscape business. Diana Marie Lira passed away Sept. 2, 2021 in Mesquite. She was born March 23, 1964 in Hereford to Julio Vasquez and Delisia Cruz on. Diana is survived by her four children: Samuel DonJuan, Christina Lira, Julie Martinez and Alma Lira. She had six grandchildren: Amaya Mendez, Ava Mendez, Alyssa Archibald, Dez Hernandez, Mila Hernandez and Flor Licea.
Robert James Mayo (Bob, OG, Grandpa, Pops), age 79, of Blanco, Texas passed away Friday, September 10, 2021. He was born in San Antonio, Texas. Robert was a graduate of Harlindale High School and served in the Military. He was the best cook ever. If anyone knew him, they knew him for his enchiladas.
David Lynn Perrenoud of Fredericksburg passed away peacefully on Aug. 24, 2021. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 14,1957 to Theo L Perrenoud and Alice Elaine Shohan Perrenoud. Coty Ray Lyles passed away Aug. 14, 2021 at his home in Johnson City. He was born May 22, 1977 in Cleburne to Bobby Earl Lyles and Patsy Ann (Hill) Lyles. In his spare time, Coty enjoyed being with family, trying new foods and riding his Harley. He is survived by his wife, Melanie Liesmann Lyles; daughters, Dawn and Dakota; siblings: Tammy, Tina, Cindy, Michaelle, Bobby Shane and Brenda.
With sad, heavy hearts on Wednesday July 21, we lost our beloved patriarch, Dale Roberts. He was 87 and went peacefully at home to be with his Sweet Lord Jesus. Dale was born in Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma on Feb. 24, 1934. He married his love, Dorie, on Feb. 10, 1973. Having just celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary, their love for each other will continue in heaven. Dale lived in Long Beach for many years, working as a sales executive.
Robert Frank “Robbie” Penick Jr. of Johnson City died July 28, 2021. He was born Sept. 1, 1943 in Houston, to Robert F. Penick, Sr. and Joyce Adele Schmid Penick. Robbie proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy for eight years. He was also a very proud Texas A&M graduate. Robbie was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, Kirby Penick, Donna Furber, Mark Penick and Stephen Penick. Martin Adrian Jr. passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 in Corpus Christi at the age of 37. Martin was born in Fredericksburg to Martin Adrian Sr. and Leticia Gonzalez. He was raised in Johnson City, where he graduated from Johnson City High School in 2002. Martin then proudly served his country with the U.S.
